Chemes chooses SSA Baan against SAP, Oracle, and Navision
CHEMES produces energy and machinery for firms in the Industrial zone, Chemes, Slovak Republic. The company is replacing its out of date existing ERP, with a modern and integrated ERP solution: SSA Baan ERP 5.0c. The contract was signed in August last year by SSA Global Reseller - GEMMA Systems, spol. s r.o. The system went live in January 2004.
Choosing the SSA Baan solution, the company also aimed to unify and standardize its business information/data and processes in individual companies, as well as in the group as a whole. Further, the company will now be able to increase the preciseness of its information about material and goods flow and the value-added chain. The company can also now better fulfill the Slovak legislation requirements for accounting information systems.
CHEMES, a.s. produces and distributes central heating and meets the heating and cooling, electricity and gas needs for firms inside the industrial zone CHEMES. The company also engineers and manufactures machinery parts at its daughter company, Strojarne Chemes, s.r.o. The company boasts a workforce of more than 600 employees with an average turnover of €30 million.
Starting with SSA Baan ERP 5.0c, the company will also implement Crystal Reports to better insure precise and specific cost tracking on company, division/department, and individual project/production level to implement a safe, secure, integrated, and reliable information system, respecting actual and future amounts of data and the number of systems users. The value of the solution, excellent consulting services, implementation time and complexity, as well as the product and solution fit and functionality all were important factors in this significant win.
