EGP chooses SSA Baan
In December 2003, SSA® Global welcomed EGP d.d. in Škofja Loka, Slovenia, a major performer in the area of paper and graphic arts, as its newest customer for SSA Baan V solution. The contract was signed by SSA Global Reseller - ITS Intertrade Sistemi.
EGP, with an annual turnover exceeding $8,000,000 USD annually, manufactures packing and wrapping material, in a process that also involves graphic design. The company operates out of a single location with more than 100 employees, serving customers primarily in the pharmaceutical and alimentation industries.
The main reason the company cites for its decision to award its IT contract to SSA Global over such competitors as SAP and a local company SICOM, was due to the company's belief that SSA could help them enable complete planning and overview of manufacturing, as well as their desire to increase E business between customers and supplier.
EGP fully expects that the implementation of the SSA Baan system will enable the company to standardize business processes, decrease overall costs, and increase E-business between customers and supplier.
The planned completion date for the implementation project is January 31, 2005.
